Medtronic is excited to partner with AGES to showcase the Hugo™ Robotic-Assisted Surgery System. This is the first time in Australia that surgeons will be able to experience a live demonstration of Hugo™.
Hugo™ RAS System was designed by surgeons, for surgeons, and was developed with specialists across the globe to help give you greater possibilities when it comes to robotic-assisted surgery.
In this workshop, you will get the chance to have hands-on experience with Hugo™ with one of our clinical specialists, learn more about the role of digital and AI in surgery and hear from a surgeon who has had first-hand experience on Hugo™. You will also be able to meet our local team who will be supporting you in your RAS journey and ask any questions you may have.
Medtronic is excited to bring Hugo™ to the Australian market and expanding global access to care and reduce variability through a portfolio of robotic and analytics solutions.
The aim of this workshop is to provide demonstrations and hands-on experience with Hugo RAS System and Digital Surgery.

The sponsored workshop has been designed to provide expert instruction on intrauterine tissue removal and the NovaSure endometrial ablation technique.
Following a didactic lecture, participants will rotate between simulation stations for both the MyoSure hysteroscopic tissue removal and NovaSure endometrial ablation procedures, as well as removing various types of 3D printed intrauterine modelled pathology in an instructed manner based upon techniques described in the lecture.
The aim of the workshop is to provide expert instruction on hysteroscopic tissue removal based on different types, sizes and locations of pathology as well as endometrial ablation (NovaSure) techniques, followed by practical instructed experience on simulators and wet hysteroscopic model scenarios.
Each Olympus interactive workshop session provides participants the choice of three surgical skills training opportunities. All opportunities involve realistic, hands-on surgical simulations using the latest technology under the guidance of expert faculty.
Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
Participants will have the opportunity to practice dissection and vessel sealing skills utilising advanced energy instruments and perfused animal tissue models.
Excision of Endometriosis
Participants will utilise NBI imaging to aid the laparoscopic diagnosis of endometriosis and practice excision techniques utilising precision instruments and animal tissue models.
Participants will be guided through trans-cervical polypectomy utilising PLASMA+ resection technology and uterine models with animal tissue defects.
This workshop aims to provide hands-on surgical skills development in total laparoscopic hysterectomy, endometriosis diagnosis and excision, and uterine polypectomy. The Olympus workshop sessions are suitable for surgeons and surgical fellows.
Protecting the ureters:
At this sponsored workshop you’ll hear from an international guest speaker on methods to protect the ureters. A group of local expert surgeons will have a panel discussion on tips, tricks and pearls and can answer your questions and then get hands on with Stryker’s camera system to see how it all fits together.
This workshop aims to educate surgeons with tips, tricks, pearls and advice for protecting the ureters during surgery.
Join the expert panel of international and national speakers who will take you on a journey into the use of this modern MIGS technique for general, complex, urogynaecology and oncology cases. The expert panel will share their diverse experience, the most recent literature, and procedural videos that demonstrate the benefits and positive patient outcomes vNOTES delivers.
Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with a knowledgeable panel on their adoption of this versatile and contemporary approach to vaginal surgery. Each with their own unique story in implementing vNOTES into their practice.
Transform your approach to vaginal surgery. By now you’ve likely heard of vNOTES and its adoption in Australia and New Zealand. Hear from experts in how they’ve implemented this novel technique into their practice.
The aim of the workshop is to provide an introduction into the safe adoption of vNOTES into your everyday practice.
