AGES XXXVII ASM

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery Society (AGES) and the Organising Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the AGES Annual Scientific Meeting 2027, being held from Thursday, 4 March to Saturday, 6 March 2027 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) in Brisbane, Queensland.

Our theme, "New Sprouts and Old Growth Forests", was chosen as we feel that we as gynaecologists have deep knowledge that has its roots in the past but also need to be aware of what is new and emerging to craft the sort of practice that is valuable to our patients.  We are also committed to demonstrating some ethical ‘roots and sprouts’ and will endeavour to sprinkle ethical standpoints throughout the program, as the profession has recently faced a challenging time and we need to reflect on the underlying principles of good clinical care.  As we celebrate established expertise and embrace emerging ideas, we look forward to exploring how both contribute to the future of gynaecological endoscopy and surgery.

We have developed a dynamic and engaging scientific program designed to appeal to practitioners at every stage of their career. Across three days, delegates will have access to a diverse range of plenary sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and hands-on learning opportunities. The program will cover key topics including complex surgery, endometriosis, hysteroscopic surgery, adenomyosis, fibroids, fertility challenges, and many other areas of contemporary practice.

We are also delighted to welcome a distinguished faculty of international speakers and experts including Dr Jen Gunter who will share their knowledge, experience, and perspectives. Their participation highlights AGES’ ongoing commitment to fostering strong relationships with our international colleagues and advancing excellence in women's health through global collaboration.

Brisbane provides an exceptional setting for this year’s meeting. Situated along the Brisbane River, the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is an easy stroll to the city’s cultural, dining, and entertainment precincts and just 20 minutes from Brisbane Airport. March offers warm weather and plenty of sunshine, making it an ideal time to experience all that Southeast Queensland has to offer.
