Workshop Overview:

Workshop Aim: Demonstration and hands-on experience with Hugo RAS System.

The workshop will allow for six participants to be educated by a GYN facilitator with robotic experience on how to use the Hugo robotic system to:

  • Perform suturing using RAS on a hydrogel model.
  • Robotic Arm set up and port placement for a Robotic Hysterectomy.

Workshop Overview:

Hysteroscopic Skills Workshop: mHTR (mechanical Hysteroscopic Tissue Resection)
Workshop Aim:
To provide expert-guided practical training in the use of mHTR for differing types of intrauterine pathologies.

This workshop involves the removal of simulated pathology within 3D printed uterine models by means of mechanical Hysteroscopic Tissue Resection (with irrigation), where attendees will be guided by experienced hysteroscopic facilitators in mHTR and fluid management techniques, appropriate and contextual to the differing types of pathology (size, location, type).

Workshop 1 Overview:

Complex Hysterectomy and Myomectomy with the Masters – Surgical Skills & Intraoperative Decision Making
Workshop Aim:
Enhance your skills and decision-making abilities in performing complex hysterectomies and myomectomies with the guidance of master operators and educators A/Prof Alan Lam (AUS) and Dr Kurian Thott (USA). Highlight the key challenges faced during these procedures and their strategies to overcome them.

Workshop Overview:

Protecting the Ureters
Workshop Aim:
This workshop aims to educate surgeons with tips, tricks, pearls and advice for protecting the ureters during gynaecological surgery.

This workshop aims to provide tips, tricks, pearls, and advice for protecting the ureters during gynaecological procedures. A pre-recorded video of US surgeon Steve McCarus will give a talk re protecting ureters using ureteric stents followed by Dr Tim Chang presentation discussing same topic and presentation of live case examples. Followed by live Q&A with the audience.

Workshop Overview:

Workshop Aim: This workshop will provide participants the opportunity to practice and refine surgical techniques used during Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy procedures.

Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy Workshops
Participants will have the opportunity to practise dissection and vessel sealing techniques, utilising advanced energy instruments and the latest 4K/3D imaging technology under the guidance of experienced faculty. Perfused animal tissue models (kidney blocks including feeding vessels) will be used during the workshop.
