Artist Statement: As a stitch artist, my work delves into the tactile and textural, where every thread and bead weaves into the narrative. Each stitch is a type of mark much like a brushstroke, adding dimension and visual depth to the work. This contemporary approach to thread painting breathes life into my artworks that is distinctive and captivating.
My creative process is an intuitive exploration, guided by the materials themselves. I enjoy contrasting organic, flowing elements with more precise, geometric forms, allowing for a dynamic interplay between freedom and structure. My art transcends simple depiction; I aim to engage viewers in a multi-sensory experience. Each piece invites a closer look, unveiling layers of meaning and texture that reflect the intricate and captivating beauty of nature.
Through my art, I seek to provoke reflection and offer moments of connection, allowing viewers to experience and contemplate the richness of nature through a uniquely textured process.
