Pre-Conference Workshops

Merging Advanced Laparoscopic and Ultrasound skills in Endometriosis Workshop

This pre-conference course brings together the complimentary technologies of expert endometriosis ultrasound and advanced laparoscopy. Learn incredibly useful tips from the experts when planning surgery for patients with endometriosis.

The MBS Explained Workshop

Join Dr April Armstrong for the first Obstetric and Gynaecology focused ethical billings workshop. Gain a full understanding of the complexities of Medicare during this comprehensive session allowing Medical Practitioners to maximise patients rebates within the legal framework of the Health Insurance Act.

MBS teachings is highly recommended to all trainees and consultants who have obtained a provider number for private practice and surgical assisting. The session will also be beneficial to registrars in preparing the for private practice and understanding their legal and ethical obligations.

AATP (AGES Advanced Trainee Program) Workshop

This workshop is invitation only.

The annual AATP Workshop (formally known as the AGES Advanced Trainee Workshop) will comprise of both didactic and practical sessions facilitated by prominent local speakers. It was designed to enhance and compliment the current two year national fellowship in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy.
This workshop is only open to Trainees currently enrolled in the AGES Trainee Program.
All registered AATP Trainees will receive an email notification to confirm their attendance to the workshop leading up to the AGES Annual Scientific Meeting.

SurgicalPerformance Breakfast Session

SurgicalPerformance is a simple, accurate and confidential tool that allows individual surgeons to record their surgical performance providing insights to improve clinical outcomes. AGES recognises the importance of knowing your own outcomes as a means of continuous improvement and to seek reassurance in case of a legal challenge.

This hands-on, interactive session will teach you how to make SurgicalPerformance work for you and provide valuable information such as:

  • Claiming CPD points with SurgicalPerformance
  • Optimising your own data entry
  • How the use of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) will give you a knowledge advantage
